How to make a claim
for historic Aetna International plans

For expired plans originating in Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions

 

On 23 March 2022 CVS Health® announced on this website that they would divest their International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) business originating outside the Americas, resulting in us signing a preferred partnership deal with Allianz Partners. This agreement meant that where possible, we introduced our customers to Allianz Partners and helped migrate their membership to Allianz Partners at renewal. The migration process was completed in 2023. 

 

The Transfer of the insurance business for Aetna International in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Singapore became effective on 1 December 2023. The Transfer of the insurance business for Hong Kong became effective on 29 December 2023. If your policy was underwritten by one of these insurers you would have received an email communication about the Transfer from Aetna International, your broker, or employer.

 

For information on how to submit a claim for historic Aetna International plans that are no longer active originating in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions, please refer to your policy documentation for the name of your insurer and follow the relevant instructions below. 

On 14 March 2024, Aetna Health Insurance Company of Europe DAC (“AHICE”) changed its registered name to Aetna Health Company of Europe DAC as part of its application to the Central Bank of Ireland for Voluntary Withdrawal of Authorisation following its Insurance Business Transfer to AWP Health & Life SA.

There are no changes to policy terms & conditions for policyholders and members with a historic AHICE policy. Details on how to submit a claim are below.
