How the program works

The Aetna program works differently in various countries. Please refer to the attached document and read in its entirety to understand what should be done before a missionary accesses care.


How the Program Works
 
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Church) has contracted with Aetna International to provide access to providers who are willing to accept payment directly from Aetna or its partners. In order to take advantage of direct payment, please choose an Universales doctor or hospital. Missionaries will present their Universales ID card to participating doctors and hospitals, and the providers will bill Universales for their services.

Below you will find the different types of providers that can be accessed through the Universales network.

 

Universales Provider Directory – You will find providers that are part of the Universales network. When sending your missionaries to the providers listed here, Universales will pay the bill. Should your missionaries have any issues during their visit, please have them contact Universales on the above phone number so that the issue can be sorted out directly between Universales and the provider.
