Unlike what Aetna has in place through Swiss Medical for the young missionaries, Mission Presidents, and their families, we are currently not able to implement the same arrangement through them for Senior Missionaries.

Instead, for all Senior Missionaries enrolled on the Senior Service Medical Plan (SSMP) serving in Argentina, Aetna International has partnered with MD abroad.   As members of the Aetna International program, Senior Missionaries will have access to the MD abroad healthcare providers.

MD abroad is based in Argentina.  They have specific providers who are part of their network, which include most of the clinics found under Swiss Medical Group for the Young Missionary/Mission President plan.  When you contact MD abroad before accessing care with a provider, they will assist in trying to locate a provider within their network for the type of care that you need.  The providers in their network agree to invoice MD abroad directly and using their network of providers will mean no out of pocket costs to you for covered benefits.
